Annual charity golf outing achieves record sponsorship levels and community engagement

BELOIT, Wis. (June 16, 2026) — Hendricks Commercial Properties proudly announces that the 2026 Backin’ the Badge charity golf outing, hosted at Beloit Club on May 29, raised $112,000 to benefit the Beloit Police and Fire Departments, marking this year as record-breaking.
The event unites community members, sponsors and volunteers to fund essential equipment, training and wellness programs that directly benefit local first responders.
To date, Backin’ the Badge contributions have enabled the City of Beloit Police Department to:
Develop a new recruitment video
Host and sponsor community events
Purchase a new trailer and vinyl wrap
Procure necessary equipment for officers
The City of Beloit Fire Department has used its funds for comprehensive, preventative full-body cancer screenings for crew members.

This year’s total of $112,000 represents a significant increase from $95,000 in 2025 and $84,000 in 2024.
“The growth of this event over the years has been incredible. None of it would be possible without the unwavering dedication and passion from our team and the entire community,” said Rob Gerbitz, President and CEO of Hendricks Commercial Properties. “At its core, Backin’ the Badge about working together to make Beloit stronger and ensuring everyone in our community feels safe and supported.”
