The Story Behind Bodacious Shop's Move to Downtown Beloit

BELOIT, WI (April 6, 2026) - Downtown Beloit continues to build on its momentum, with new businesses, residential and public space improvements shaping an increasingly vibrant riverfront district. Set to open in 2026, Bodacious Shops is the latest addition to this evolving landscape, joining recent and upcoming developments like Poke Green, the State Street Studio Apartments and the ongoing riverwalk and Grand Avenue reconstruction projects. 

We sat down with the owner of Bodacious Shops, Rishy Studer, to talk about what drew her to Beloit, what they’re bringing to the community, and what visitors can expect when their doors open.

How did Bodacious Shops begin?

Bodacious Shops began with our first location in Pensacola, Florida, where we created a vibrant collection of shops centered around different experiences, flavors and specialty products. As we grew, we saw an opportunity to bring that same energy to the Midwest with a location in Janesville, Wisconsin and now, Beloit. 

What can customers expect from your Beloit location?

Bodacious Shops of Beloit will reflect many of the elements guests enjoy in Janesville, including a wide selection of olive oils, balsamics, gifts and the ability to taste and sample products in-store.

We’ll also be a downtown retailer for official Beloit Sky Carp merchandise. It’s a great way to connect with the community, giving visitors a place to shop team gear, explore our fresh, high-quality olive oils and of course show their Beloit Sky Carp pride!

Tell us more about Bodacious Olive, specifically.

Bodacious Olive is our olive oil shop and tasting room. We take extreme pride in our selection of olive oil. It represents the pinnacle of quality and freshness in the culinary world. We work with a trusted supplier who sources olives globally, selecting from the hemisphere currently in harvest to ensure optimal freshness and flavor. 

Immediately after processing, the olive oil is shipped directly to preserve its taste and health benefits. This quick turnaround allows us to maintain the integrity of the product, delivering an experience that reflects quality and care.

What makes your business unique?

Our commitment to sourcing, packaging and delivering exceptional olive oil sets the foundation, but what truly distinguishes us is the variety and experience we offer. We carry an extensive selection of infused and traditional oils designed to meet a wide range of culinary and health preferences. 

We offer classic blends ideal for drizzling over salads or delicately infused flavors that elevate cooked dishes. Each product showcases the versatility of our offerings and adds something special to every meal.

Why did you choose to expand to Beloit?

We’ve loved watching Beloit grow and evolve over the past decade or so, and it felt like the right time to become part of that momentum. The energy is amazing and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute it through Bodacious Shops.

We also recognized that there isn’t another concept quite like ours in the area. Bringing something distinct to a community so close to home is meaningful to us, and we’re excited to introduce our products and experiences to Beloit.
